Teaching our Kids to Take a Bow!

As one of two pilot schools in all of Santa Cruz County to have this program, our first year of Dancing Classrooms proved a huge success. Dance has existed as a form of personal and social expression in every culture throughout history, and is considered to be an integral part of a well-rounded education. Under the trained instruction of Kirsten Livingston, every fifth-grader at Soquel El will learn steps from Rumba to Foxtrot, as well as many life lessons along the way. At the end of the school year they will perform once for their families, and again for their fellow students on Field Day.
